Linktree's free plan shows 28 days of detailed insights, keeps its logo on your page and may show visitors an advert, and no plan supports your own domain. Checked 18 October 2026.

Yes, Linktree has a free plan, it includes unlimited basic links on your page, and for a simple page it does the job. The limits show up once you want more than that. On the free plan your detailed insights cover the last 28 days, only one link can use the larger featured layout, the Linktree logo stays on your page, and some free pages are currently part of a test that shows visitors a short advert after they tap a link.

Everything below comes from Linktree's own pricing page and Help Center, read on 18 October 2026. Prices and plan contents change, so check the linked pages before you decide.

What does the Linktree free plan include?

Linktree's Help Center publishes a table of limits by plan. For the free plan it lists 28 days of insights history, one link in the featured layout, up to three images in an image gallery, up to five questions in an FAQs link and 1,000 Instagram auto-reply DMs a month. You can add your links, choose a theme and share your page, which is all many people need.

Does the free Linktree plan show adverts?

Sometimes. Linktree says it is running a limited test in which some Linktrees on the free plan, in eligible countries, may show visitors a brief advert after they select a link and before they reach the destination. The adverts are labelled, can be dismissed and come from third-party advertisers. Linktree says adverts never appear on paid plans.

For a business, an advert before a booking or checkout page is worth thinking about. If a customer taps "Book a table" and sees someone else's advert first, that is an extra step between them and your page. Linktree does not publish which countries are in the test, and it describes it as a test, so the details may change. Details in Linktree Help Center, About ads on Free Linktrees.

What do you lose on the free plan?

Linktree groups its paid features by plan. Every paid plan removes the adverts and lets you apply for the verified badge. Starter also adds things like link thumbnails, scheduling links to go live or expire, redirecting every visitor to one link for a launch, and QR code scan counts. Hiding the Linktree logo from your page and QR code starts on Pro, along with custom backgrounds, fonts and more profile image styles.

In practice, the free plan falls short in four places.

  • Detailed insights cover 28 days, so you cannot compare this month with the same month last year.
  • The Linktree logo stays on your page unless you pay for Pro.
  • Visitors may see an advert while the test runs in your country.
  • Scheduling and redirect tools for launches are paid features.

How much is Linktree Pro?

When we viewed the pricing page on 18 October 2026, Starter cost $6 a month when billed annually or $8 on monthly billing. Pro cost $12 or $15, and Premium $30 or $35, on the same two bases. Our page loaded in US dollars. Linktree may show a different currency depending on where you are, so check the Linktree pricing page from your own account before comparing.

If the reason you would upgrade is to remove the logo, note that this is a Pro feature, not a Starter one.

Is the Linktree free plan enough for you?

It is enough if you only need a list of links, you do not need more than a month of click history, and you are comfortable with Linktree's branding on the page. Plenty of hobby accounts and new creators fit that description.

It starts to fall short when a business needs to remove Linktree branding or use advanced design options, when you run seasonal campaigns and need year-on-year numbers, and when you do not want a third-party advert between a customer and the checkout.

Can you use your own domain with Linktree?

No, and this applies to every plan, not just Free. Linktree's Help Center says it does not support custom domains. Every Linktree keeps a linktr.ee/yourusername address, and you can change the username but not the linktr.ee part. If you want visitors to land on your own site instead, Linktree points paid users to its Redirect feature. Details in Linktree Help Center, Can I change the Linktree URL to a custom domain?

For a shop or a trade business that prints its address on vans, menus and cards, an address on its own domain can matter more than any feature on the list above.

How the free plan compares with Digily Link

We run Digily Link, so treat this section as our side of the comparison. These are the free plan limits as of 18 October 2026, taken from our own plan settings.

Linktree also offers things we do not, including Instagram auto-replies and a long list of integrations. If those matter to you, Linktree may still be the better fit.

Where Digily Link differs is the price of a clean page. Our Starter plan is £2 a month or £20 a year and removes the branding, adds 180 days of statistics and lets you connect up to five of your own domains. On the free plan you can also pick from several short domains, such as digily.bio and digily.uk. More on that in our guide to Linktree alternatives for UK creators.

Frequently asked questions

Is Linktree completely free?

The free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. Paid plans add longer insights, scheduling, design options and remove adverts, and you only pay if you upgrade.

Can I remove the Linktree logo for free?

No. Linktree lists hiding the Linktree logo as a Pro and Premium feature.

Why did I see an advert on someone's Linktree?

Linktree is testing brief adverts on some free plan pages in eligible countries. They appear after a visitor selects a link and do not appear on paid plans.

Can I use my own domain with Linktree?

No. Linktree says it does not support custom domains on any plan, and every Linktree keeps a linktr.ee address.

How long does Linktree keep my click data on the free plan?

The Help Center lists 28 days of detailed insights history on the free plan, 90 days on Starter, 365 days on Pro and lifetime on Premium.

Is there a free Linktree alternative without adverts?

Yes. Digily Link's free plan, for example, shows no adverts to your visitors and includes five pages, 50 short links and 20 QR codes. Compare the limits that matter to you, as each free plan cuts back in different places.
