A link you cannot measure is a guess. Every short link, bio link page, QR code and static site on Digily Link records what happens to it, so you know which post sent visitors, which button they tapped, which town they were in and which device they used. The numbers are there the moment the first person clicks.
The measurement is done on our server from the request itself, not by placing a tracking cookie on the visitor's device. That keeps the statistics honest across in-app browsers and private modes, and it means a page or a link needs no consent banner for its own measurement under UK rules.
- Clicks and views by date, unique visitors, referrer hosts and paths
- Countries, cities and continents, devices, operating systems, browsers and browser languages
- UTM source, medium and campaign for every tagged destination
- Statistics kept for one month on Free, six months on Starter and a year on Pro
- Export as CSV, JSON or PDF depending on the plan, and weekly email reports
What is recorded, and what is not
For each click or view the server records the time, the referrer, the country and city estimated from the network, the device type, operating system and browser, the browser language and any UTM values on the link. It does not set a cookie to recognize the visitor later, does not build a profile across sites and does not share the visit with an advertising network unless you attach a pixel yourself. Unique visitors are counted for the day without storing anything on the device.
Read the numbers that change decisions
The referrer report answers whether Instagram, TikTok, a newsletter or a printed code brought the visit. The country and city reports show where your audience actually is, which matters for delivery, tour dates and opening hours. The device report tells you how many visitors could open your app links and how many saw the web version. Per-button statistics on a bio link page show which links earn their place at the top and which can go.
Campaign links with UTM parameters
Add utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign to a destination and both Digily Link and Google Analytics show the visit under the right campaign. Build the tagged address with the UTM link generator or let a short link add the parameters for you in its settings, so the shared address stays clean. The worked example in UTM parameters explained with a UK campaign example shows a naming convention that keeps GA4 reports tidy.
Pixels and weekly reports
When you do want retargeting, attach a pixel for Facebook, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, Quora, TikTok or Snapchat to a link or page, up to 5 pixels on the free plan, 50 on Starter and 200 on Pro. Pixels are your choice and your responsibility under the privacy rules that apply to you. Weekly email reports summarise the week's clicks for every link so you do not have to open the dashboard to notice a change.
Keep the data, or take it with you
Statistics are kept for one month on the free plan, six months on Starter and a year on Pro, and can be exported for a link or a page as CSV, JSON or PDF, one format on Free, two on Starter and all three on Pro. Team members on the paid plans can be given read-only access to statistics without the ability to change links. The URL parser and the URL redirect checker help when a tagged link does not report the way you expected.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a cookie banner for Digily Link statistics?
Not for the statistics themselves, because no tracking cookie is set on the visitor's device. If you attach third-party pixels, the consent rules for those pixels apply to you as their user.
How accurate is the location?
Country is reliable. City is an estimate from the visitor's network and can be wrong on mobile connections, so use it as a strong hint rather than a fact.
Are bot and preview visits counted?
Link previews generated by messaging apps and known crawlers are filtered as far as they can be recognised. Unusual spikes from a single source are visible in the referrer and device reports, so they are easy to spot.
Can I export the data?
Yes. Each link's or page's statistics can be exported as CSV, JSON or PDF depending on your plan, and the Pro plan's API returns statistics for any link programmatically.
