A short link is a small, readable address that redirects to a longer one. digily.uk/spring-sale is easier to say on the radio, type from a poster and trust in a text message than a raw product address with tracking parameters attached. On Digily Link the short link is also where the intelligence lives, because the redirect happens on our server and can make decisions on the way.
Every short link counts its clicks, can be edited after it has been shared or printed, and can be turned into a QR code that keeps working when the destination changes. You choose the slug on every plan, pick from 15 branded domains, or connect your own domain on Starter and Pro.
- 50 short links on the free plan, 500 on Starter and 1,000 on Pro
- Custom slug on every plan, with 301, 302, 307 or 308 redirects
- Targeting by country, city, device, browser, language or operating system, plus rotation for A/B tests
- App linking that opens YouTube, Spotify, Amazon, TikTok, WhatsApp, Google Maps and more directly on a phone
- UTM parameters, tracking pixels, splash pages and click statistics without a tracking cookie
One link, many destinations
Targeting rules let a single short link send visitors to different places. An iPhone visitor goes to the App Store and an Android visitor to Google Play. A visitor in Ireland sees the euro shop and a visitor in Leeds the pound one. A French browser gets the French page. Rotation splits visitors between two versions of a landing page so you can compare them. Targeting is included on every plan, and the guide to advanced link redirection walks through each rule.
Open the app, not the browser
Instagram, TikTok and Facebook open links inside their own browser, where the visitor is signed out of everything. Switch on app linking and a short link to a YouTube video, a Spotify track, an Amazon product or a Google Maps place opens in that app on iOS and Android, signed in and on the right screen. On a phone without the app, or on a desktop, the normal web page loads. The setting is available on every plan; what deep linking is explains how it works.
Control after you press share
Change the destination at any time and every copy of the link, in captions, in emails and behind printed QR codes, follows. On the Starter and Pro plans a link can start and stop on set dates, stop after a number of clicks and send later visitors to an expiration URL, carry a password, show a splash page before the destination or be cloaked so the destination opens under your address. Pixels for Facebook, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X, Quora, TikTok and Snapchat can be attached so retargeting works from the short link.
Branded domains and your own
The 15 branded domains include digily.uk and ukbio.link for a UK audience, digily.shop for retail, digily.dev for software and short.bi for the shortest possible address, all listed on the domains page. Starter adds up to five custom domains and Pro ten, so links read go.yourbrand.co.uk/offer. The guide to branded short links on a .uk domain covers why that gets more taps.
Measure every tap
Statistics show clicks by date, unique visitors, referrers, countries, cities, devices, operating systems, browsers and UTM values, kept for one month on Free, six months on Starter and a year on Pro, and exportable as CSV, JSON or PDF depending on the plan. Because no tracking cookie is set, nothing needs adding to the destination page. Tag destinations with the UTM link generator and check any link with the URL redirect checker.
Frequently asked questions
Can I choose the slug on the free plan?
Yes. The custom back-half is included on every plan, so digily.uk/yourname is available without paying.
What happens when I change a destination?
The change is live at once. The short link, any QR code printed from it and every place you have shared it now lead to the new destination, and the old clicks stay in the statistics.
Can I create links in bulk?
Yes. Paste up to ten destinations per batch on the free and Starter plans and 20 on Pro, and a short link is created for each.
Is there an API?
The Pro plan includes REST API access for links, statistics, QR codes, domains and more, documented on the API documentation page.
Create a free account, paste a long address, choose a domain and a slug, and share the short link. Everything else, from targeting to app linking, is one setting away in the same screen.
